What can I expect coming into the NICU?
Coming to the NICU is an intimidating event, but I want to want to do is offer you some comfort. There is a dedicated team of nurses, typically respiratory therapists, physicians, and other hospital employees that are there for you and your little one, which you’ll see when you first get, there are monitors that are connected to your baby that allow us all to manage the heart rate respiratory rates. You may see that we’ll need to draw some blood and start an IB as well, too. All of these things are a normal part of the process of a NICU admission and all of those. We’ll bring your baby to you sooner.
