Spotting in Pregnancy
If you are spotting and it’s bright red blood, and it will be around the time of your period, I wouldn’t worry about that. As long as you’re not cramping or having some contractions that are going along with it, sometimes low dull back pain, headaches, maybe dizziness, nausea, or something that’s going along with that. Just spotting in and of itself, because sometimes you will be spotting in your pregnancy around the time that you would normally be having your menses or your regular cycle. And so a little spot here and there is not good. Normally you should not be spotting at all, but just because you are spotting does not necessarily mean problems.
If it is bright red, then of course you would need to stay off your feet. You would need to report that to your provider too, but spotting alone is not necessarily bad. It could be that if you bleeding now, that’s, that’s beyond spotting. But just spotting itself, now we talking about just the spot, it really doesn’t matter that much unless other things are happening. But whatever, spotting or you’re bleeding, always let your provider know that because that’s a sign that something is maybe not quite as it should be, but it’s also something that could be handled as simply as you stand off your feet for two or three days.
