Lower Back Pain and Sciatica in Pregnancy
“So during pregnancy, I think it’s important that you really help establish a routine of self-care. Self-care is vitally important. Things like chiropractic, massage, (and) acupuncture can all help with sciatica and low back discomfort. The other thing is having movement. You know walking is such a great form of exercise.’
“Prenatal yoga is one of my favorite forms of exercise because it really helps you to move in your pregnant body in different ways. And it helps you kind of get rid of some of that tension that accumulates. That is usually what happens as we become pregnant. As we are pregnant, the body kind of gets tension, and releasing that tension is really important.”
