- Mechanisms by which expectations influence physiology in the birthing process, 15 minutes
- Exercise for identifying person expectations and the stories from which these arose, 15 minutes
- Methods for which expectations for birth can be changed
- How do the stories women hear about birth condition their expectations.
- Methods for using positive stories to counter-act fear-inducing stories, 15 minutes
- Mechanisms through which the stories women tell about their birth affect their self-concept and self-esteem, 20
- Techniques to use with women to facilitate resolution of traumatic stories of giving birth,
- Exercise in managing traumatic birth stories, 25 minutes
