Meet Melissa Merritt, a Licensed Massage Therapist and healing enthusiast. Melissa began to notice the healing power of massage therapy at a very young age, while giving her father neck massages to help reduce pain and suffering from an old injury. Fascinated with the experience of the human body and its influence on our everyday lives, Melissa enrolled in the Atlanta School of Massage. In 2007, she graduated with certifications in: Deep Tissue, Swedish, Seated, Neuromuscular massage techniques and cupping massage. She also holds advanced qualifications to perform the following types of massage: TMJ Massage, Cupping Massage,Prenatal and Postpartum Massage, Sports Massage and Stretching Techniques. Melissa focuses on massage for Pain relief, including low back pain, neck pain, TMJD, post surgery, Chronic Pain and Prenatal. Melissa believes that massage is more than just a luxury service; it is a vital part of self-care that has a positive ripple effect on all people as they work, play, relax and live their lives. She recognizes that all people are different and have many different needs, therefore allowing custom massage sessions for each client.
