Water Breaks in Public

“Afraid your water will break in public? It most likely will not, but if it does, it’s not like in the movies. Usually, there’s not a big gush. Most of the time we get questions, ‘did my water break? Is it really broken?’ So that leads you to believe that not a whole pound of fluid is going to come out at one time. If your water does break in public, then you go to the bathroom and clean yourself up and you go back to your home or decide where you’re going to feel most comfortable delivering your baby. But it’s not a rush breaking the water. When the water breaks, it does not mean your baby is coming at that moment. It just means the party has started.”
