How do I calculate the date I conceived to help me determine my due date?
“Most people don’t know that during the first two weeks of your pregnancy, you’re not actually pregnant. We start counting from the first day of your last period. Then, around two weeks after that, most people ovulate and you can conceive a baby. By the time you find out you’re pregnant, that group of cells is already implanted in your uterus and started to grow there. At about five weeks from the first day of your last period, your baby has started to have a heartbeat. And by the time you get to the end of your first trimester, which is 13 weeks pregnant, all of your baby’s structures are formed and all they have left to do is grow.”
